As part of the implementation of the integrated Cash Assistance, Shelter, Water, and Environmental Sanitation Project, aimed at supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other highly vulnerable groups in Mawza District, Taiz Governorate, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) and implemented by MA’AKUM Development Foundation, a specialized technical training was conducted for the field assessment and verification team in preparation for the start of targeting and data collection activities across the targeted communities.

The training aimed to strengthen the team’s capacity to apply the approved targeting criteria based on vulnerability and needs indicators, ensuring the identification of the most eligible households for assistance in line with established humanitarian standards.

The training program covered key topics, including field assessment methodologies, data verification mechanisms, the use of data collection tools, and quality assurance procedures. It also included practical training on accurate and efficient form completion, contributing to enhancing data reliability and improving the quality of targeting outcomes.

The training further focused on strengthening the team’s understanding of humanitarian principles, including neutrality, impartiality, accountability towards affected communities, adherence to fieldwork ethics, data protection, and maintaining confidentiality of information.

This training reflects the Foundation’s commitment to applying best practices and humanitarian standards, strengthening the capacity of its field teams, and ensuring the effective and efficient implementation of project activities while promoting fair and equitable access to assistance for the most vulnerable groups.
