Today, Dr. Abdulhameed Al-Yousufi, Head of Ma’akum Developmental Foundation MAAKUM, welcomed Mr. Azico Santos, Senior Humanitarian Affairs Officer for Taiz and Western Coast Hub, and Mr. Fath Al-Amri, OCHA Coordinator in the Western Coast, at the foundation’s headquarters in Taiz.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the foundation’s policies, programs, and development projects, in addition to current partnerships with international and local organizations. The visitors also received an overview of the key interventions implemented by the foundation in the fields of protection, education, food security, and emergency assistance.

Mr. Santos commended the efforts of MAAKUM and its role in strengthening the humanitarian response in Taiz Governorate, emphasizing the importance of expanding partnership and coordination in the upcoming phase between OCHA and the foundation to ensure effective services that meet the needs of the most vulnerable communities.
