Taiz Tomorrow: Inauguration of the May 22nd Hall at the University of Taiz, generously funded by Al-Kuraimi Developmental Foundation, implemented by MA’AKUM Developmental Foundation, and coordinated by the University of Taiz

 Under the slogan

With knowledge , we build the future

In the presence of the Governor of Taiz, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Ayman Al-Makhlafi, numerous government officials, and the leadership, academic, administrative, and student bodies of Taiz University—

The official inauguration of the Infrastructure and Educational Improvement Project at Taiz University (Rehabilitation and Equipping of the May 22nd Hall) will take place tomorrow, Sunday, September 1, 2024.

It is worth noting that, despite its importance, this hall had been completely out of service for years due to the severe damage it sustained during the war.

The intervention included full structural renovation, comprehensive furnishing of the hall, installation of air conditioning and interior decor, and the setup of a fully equipped control room with an advanced audio system, cameras, and lighting. The May 22nd Hall is now considered the first of its kind in terms of facilities and equipment, making it fully capable of hosting the scientific conferences the university has long needed, as well as other major events in the governorate.

The hall has a seating capacity of 540 individuals, and the project took approximately seven months to complete.

The first event to be held in the newly equipped hall will be the Cardiology and Nephrology Conference, scheduled from September 3–5, with the participation of a distinguished group of Arab physicians.

The event is open to the public.
