Accompanied by the President of MA’AKUM Developmental Foundation, the Director General of Jabal Habashi inspects Al-Munaem – Al-Zajrah road in preparation for its rehabilitation and the construction of protective barriers.

On Sunday morning, the Director General of Jabal Habashi District, Lawyer Faris Al-Maliki, along with Dr. Abdulhameed Al-Yousfi, head of Ma’akum Developmental Foundation, and the technical team, conducted an inspection visit to Naqil (Al-Mun’em – Al-Zajrah) road. The purpose of the visit was to assess the condition of the road, determine the route for its rehabilitation, and plan for the construction of protective barriers to reduce its dangers. The project is funded by Ma’akum Developmental Foundation.

The visit aimed to identify the most hazardous segments of the road, which have caused numerous fatal accidents due to the lack of safety barriers. It also involved estimating the required quantities and distances necessary to begin implementation in the coming days. Additionally, the team prepared a comprehensive technical study of the remaining sections of the road to be presented to potential donors for support.

The Director General highlighted the tragic accidents that have occurred along the Al-Mun’em–Al-Zajrah road, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of many residents of the district. He emphasized that these incidents have prompted intensified efforts and unified resources to address the risks and secure the road to prevent future tragedies.

Al-Maliki explained that the intervention will include the construction of concrete safety barriers at the most dangerous curves and segments, while community efforts continue in parallel with those of the local authority to complete the safety and maintenance works across all affected areas.

The Director General was accompanied during the visit by Engineer Moath Al-Haidari, Eng. Tareq Al-Sufyani, Director of the Branch of the Public Works and Roads Office; Judge Emad Al-Faqih, Director of the Office of Endowments and Guidance; and Safwan Al-Jubaihi, Director of Media for the district
